Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 October 2026
These terms are a contract between you and Glauve. We wrote them in plain language. Please read them before you use the app.
1. Who we are
Glauve ("Glauve", "we", "us") is operated by Blaxity, Inc, a company registered in the United States, with its business address at 90 Washington Street, New York, NY 10006, United States. You can reach us at support@glauve.com, by phone at +1 929 571 6790, or through the Contact page.
Payments are processed by Stripe on behalf of Blaxity, Inc. The name on your bank or card statement may show "Glauve" or "Blaxity, Inc".
2. Accepting these terms
You accept these Terms by actively ticking the unselected acceptance box during signup and continuing. During signup you enter an accurate date of birth for each profile holder and actively tick two boxes: a certification that the information is accurate and each holder is at least 24, and acceptance of the Terms of Service and the linked Privacy, Cookie, Refund, Community Standards and 24+ Age policies. These boxes are not preselected; you must then click Continue to ID & selfie. A separate, unselected consent box authorises Stripe Identity to process the ID and selfie, including facial matching. Accepting the Cookie Policy does not consent to optional analytics; that choice remains separate.
We record the policy version, the age, terms and Identity confirmations and the server time of acceptance, and keep that record while your account is active so we can show what you agreed to. Paid checkout also records the terms version and your 24+ confirmation. If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel and request a refund of any unused prepaid period.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 24 years old to create or maintain a Glauve account, and legally able to enter a contract in your country. This 24+ requirement applies even where the legal age of majority is lower. Glauve is invite-only: membership requires an invitation and approval of your application. A couple profile must be created with the consent of both partners.
Every new profile holder must complete Stripe Identity government photo-ID verification and the mandatory selfie check. Self-declared age alone is never enough. On Glauve, ‘Verified’ means every holder of the profile has successfully completed Stripe Identity government-issued photo-ID verification and the mandatory matching-selfie check, and Glauve has confirmed that each document-verified date of birth exactly matches the date entered at signup and meets our minimum age of 24. A declared age, email confirmation, application approval, profile photo or selfie alone does not qualify. On a shared profile, both holders must pass their own checks. Legacy accounts without a recorded completion of this ID-and-selfie process do not qualify for the Verified badge.
4. Your account
Give accurate information, keep your password private, and do not share or sell your account. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you think it has been accessed without permission.
5. Community rules
Consent, respect and discretion come first. You must not: harass, threaten or pressure anyone; share another person's photos or personal details without consent; post content involving minors; impersonate anyone; post illegal, hateful or non-consensual content; advertise paid sexual services; spam, scam or scrape the platform; or attempt to bypass security or privacy controls such as photo masking.
We use automated and human moderation. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. You can report or block any member at any time.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and moderate it only to run Glauve. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law.
7. Memberships and payments
Glauve is a dating and social discovery platform. Paid memberships unlock premium platform features only (the features listed on the Upgrade page). Glauve does not sell, host or monetise sexual content or services, and members cannot pay each other through Glauve. Glauve offers optional paid memberships: Monthly and Yearly (renewing automatically until cancelled) and Lifetime (a single payment). The price, currency, billing period and any applicable tax are shown clearly before you pay.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. By paying, you authorise us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for the plan you chose and, for Monthly and Yearly, for each renewal until you cancel.
We send a receipt for every payment. Your next renewal date and price are always visible on the Upgrade page and in Stripe's customer portal. Price changes apply only from your next renewal, with at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can cancel before they apply.
Lifetime means for as long as Glauve operates the service. If we ever close the service permanently within 24 months of your Lifetime purchase, we will refund a fair proportion of it.
8. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel any time from Upgrade, then Manage subscription, or by email. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Every payment can be refunded in full within 14 days, with no questions asked. Full details, including the 30-day window for yearly renewals, are in our Refund Policy.
EU and UK right of withdrawal: you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Our Refund Policy honours this in full, even if you started using premium features.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account yourself at any time: in Settings, choose Delete account, confirm with your password and type the confirmation phrase. We then remove your photos, messages, matches, gallery permissions, application answers and profile straight away, cancel any recurring payment, and delete the sign-in records tied to your email address. Deleting your account is different from cancelling a membership: cancelling stops renewals but keeps your profile. You can also ask us to delete it by emailing us. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or where required by law. If we close a paid account without a breach on your part, we refund the unused part of your membership.
10. Safety and meeting people
Verified describes successful ID, selfie and age checks at the time recorded. It is not a background check, a guarantee of current profile-photo accuracy, good conduct, safety, compatibility or identity in every later interaction, or an endorsement by Stripe. Invitation and application approval remain separate conditions of community admission. Meet in public places first, tell a friend where you are going, and report anything that worries you. Read our Safety page and 24+ Age Policy for details.
11. Liability
We provide Glauve with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for the behaviour of members offline, or for losses we could not reasonably foresee. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
12. Disputes and governing law
Please contact us first at support@glauve.com; most problems are solved within days. These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in your local courts. EU consumers may also use a free consumer mediation service.
13. Verification: automated checks and human review
Stripe Identity performs document checks and automated biometric matching between the selfie and the face on the identity document; it is not a comparison against ordinary profile photos. Glauve automatically reads the live verification result, checks the full verified date of birth against the declared date and the 24+ threshold, and requires a short-lived, single-use proof tied to the same email, account type and dates of birth before account creation. Pending, failed, missing, mismatched and test-mode results do not complete signup. Document photos may be uploaded; Stripe controls the selfie capture instructions. Glauve does not promise a bespoke head-turn or green-progress test.
Glauve’s team separately reviews membership applications and investigates reports of age misrepresentation, impersonation or other breaches. Human application approval is not identity verification and cannot replace the required successful ID, selfie and age checks. We do not claim that a Glauve employee manually inspects every ID or selfie; the signup checks use Stripe Identity’s result. A member can request review of an error through support or appeal a moderation action, but review does not waive the minimum age or verification requirement. Do not email ID documents or selfies to support.
Entering a false date does not bypass the age rule: Glauve compares it with the date verified from the identity document and rejects a missing or different date or anyone below 24. A reported or reasonably suspected false age or impersonation is investigated by authorised moderators; access can be restricted during investigation and accounts found to be under 24 or fraudulent are suspended or terminated. Suspected child exploitation is escalated where the law requires. These checks reduce risk but cannot detect every forged document, impersonation or later misuse.
14. Verification records and retention
Glauve does not receive or store ID images, selfie images, biometric templates or document numbers from this signup process. Stripe processes the verification media under its own privacy notice. Glauve temporarily stores hashes of the email, declared birth dates and one-use capability, the account type, Stripe session references and per-holder result/redaction-request status, creation/expiry times and an account link when used. These hashes and references are still treated as personal data. Successful signup retains the account’s declared date of birth, a Verified status and completion timestamp, plus a consent record containing the accepted policy version/links and the age, terms and Identity consent confirmations and server-recorded time. A successful Verified status records that the DOB comparison passed, not a separate copy of the ID-extracted birth date.
Verification proofs expire after 24 hours. Glauve requests Stripe redaction after checking a successful or rejected result and when a session is cancelled or expires. An hourly cleanup retries expired or terminal sessions and failed redaction requests. Stripe says redaction can take up to four days after the request; this is not immediate erasure. Proof rows are eligible for deletion once at least seven days have elapsed since creation and redaction has been requested for every holder; unsuccessful cleanup may extend that period until a retry succeeds. Account verification and signup-consent records remain while the account is active and are removed with account deletion, subject to lawful preservation. Other payment, moderation and security records follow the separate retention periods in the Privacy Policy.
